The first air ambulance


This Picture was taken in June 1937 at Croydon Airport. It is a demonstration by the Air Ambulance detachment of the Surrey divsion of the British Red Cross.

They were about to fly out to Budapest in Hungary for the first international conference on air relief. They were going to compete in a special international contest.
