The Sign in this picture from our archives reads: "This car may be yours; 6d Croydon General Hospital." That's 2 and half pence in decimal currency.
It certainly attracted a lot of attention from passers-by in Katherine Street Croydon in 1930 when the photograph was taken - hardly surprising at that price.
